Our environmental policies, and what you can do!

Being part of a wonderful location such as Varkiza makes us appreciative of both our close environment, but also concerned about the broader issues of environmental conservation and protection that affect us all. For this reason, over the years we have implemented a number of policies that help us reduce our ecological footprint, a few of which are:

Optional waiver cards for linen change and on request towel collection baskets in all of our apartments.

Waste control with a battery recycling station, five recycling bins distributed on all our levels along with the ones in our offices, organic waste separation in our kitchen and an electrical and electronic devices and lamp recycling system in place.

Installation of an automated solar energy saving water heating system.

Encouraging our guests to exercise sensible climate control and energy consumption.

Installation of an electric car charging station.

Supply and installation of all electrical devices are of energy efficiency of A+ or higher.

Supply and installation of all new lamps and light fixtures employ LED technology.

Use of rechargeable batteries where possible.

Toner recycling with in partnership with our cartridge supplier.

Use of inverter technology electrical motors.

Since 2019, we have been awarded the ISO 14001:2015 EMS certification, but we still have a lot to do, and as environmental protection is an ongoing and collective process, we always invite our guests and friends to help us and propose new and better ways to reduce waste and consumption.
